Bas�lica de Nuestra Senora del Piar This church is one of the most visited places of pilgrimage in all Spa in, consecrated to the "Holy Virgin of Pilar", patroness not only of t his town but of all Spanish speaking countries. So the annual celebrat ions to the "Day of Pilar", at October 12th, are of great importance.Catedral de la Seo This gothic cathedral, with lateron added parts in neoclassical, baroq ue and plateresque styles was built in 14th century, over an older Rom anesque temple. In its interior, which consists of five naves with lat eral chapels, the main altar with splendid reliefs and the Mudejar sty le apse are remarkable.La Lonja "La Lonja", the old stock exchange building, is a great Renaissance mo nument of 1541. Today it is used frequently for expositions.Palacio de la Aljafer�a This splendid king's palace of 11th century is one of very few remaini ng Moorish buildings of the dynasty "Taifas". The mosque with its mina ret and the Torre del Trovador, a fortificated tower, are left of the original construction.The Roman Town Walls The rests of the Roman fortifications, of 3rd century, are a landmark of Zaragoza. Very well conserved parts you can find close to the Towe r of Zuda and to the church Iglesia de la Magdalena, alongside Ebro ri ver.
